BOCKLETON 2009- WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

The centre has wellies and waterproof coats to borrow if you need to.

Any medication you need must be labelled and given to the teacher in charge.

Plenty of changes (at least 5 of everything) of old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Long sleeves/long trousers are required for some activities.

Warm jumpers, a winter coat, hat, scarves and gloves for the colder months- October to April.

Sun hats, sun cream for the summer months.

A water bottle (not glass)

A waterproof coat if you have one (if you haven’t got one don’t worry, we have plenty). This is necessary all year round.

Clean indoor shoes, slippers e.g. pumps, flip flops, etc (Slipper socks are not acceptable)

Outdoor shoes /Trainers or Walking Boots (will get muddy) and wellies if you have them. Don’t buy new wellies we have loads at the centre for your child to borrow.

Several plastic carrier bags for dirty clothes or shoes.

A towel and wash kit, toothbrush, toothpaste etc

Suitable night wear and enough underwear for the week (trainer socks make your feet sore).

Any money (not exceeding £8.00 and preferably in change) should be in a labelled purse or wallet and preferable given to the teacher in charge.

You must not bring the following

Mobile Telephones/handheld games/digital cameras/MP3 players

Any sweets or food as these encourage mice in the dormitories.

Electric equipment of any kind including hairdryers this has a habit of going missing or getting broken. You won’t have time to use them anyway!

Aerosol body sprays or deodorant – these set off our fire alarms – buy roll on!

Please remember to name/label ALL clothing and footwear before you come.
